Your duties include

• Representation of the field of production management for audiovisual productions in teaching and applied research
• Research and development activities
• Proactive acquisition of third-party funding through research and transfer activities
• Desired focus on the planning, organization and realization of film and TV feature film productions, taking into account time, location, dramaturgical and financial aspects.
• Active involvement in the development and expansion of media degree programs, in particular the new cooperative degree program „Production Management for Film and TV“ and other degree programs
• Practice-oriented teaching both in German and in English and also using digital formats (e-learning, blended learning)
• Subject-specific and strategic further development of the subject areas with special focus on digitisation
• High-quality supervision of practical assignments, Bachelor’s and Master’s theses as well as doctorates
• Involvement in setting up new international partnerships and maintaining existing ones
• Active and interdisciplinary involvement in administering academic affairs

You offer

• University degree, preferably in a relevant field of audiovisual media production or media economics
• Excellent academic achievements in research and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification
• Several years of experience as a production manager for major theatrical and/or TV feature film productions
• Mature teaching skills and convincing pedagogical aptitude
• Very good German and English proficiency and ability and willingness to teach in German and in English
• Enthusiasm for passing on your practical experience in teaching applied research to our students as future academics
• Special achievements in the implementation and development of academic insights and methods in a minimum of five years of work experience gained after completing your first degree and of which at least three years must have been gained outside of the university sector. If, over a period of at least five years, a considerable portion of your work involved a cooperation between a university and a non-academic employer, this time may be considered to meet the requirements for non-academic work experience in special cases (pursuant to Article 57 (3) Sentence 1 No. 3 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG). Furthermore, in particularly justified cases, those who provide evidence of additional artistic achievements may be employed; in this case, evidence of at least three years of professional work experience outside of academia should be provided.
